  1. When was the school founded?
    The school was founded in February 1995
  2. Where is the school situated in the town?
    The school is situated in the heart of the city, only 10 minutes walking distance from the beaches.
  3. What are your main benefits?
    The Spanish teachers are independently in charge of the schoolmaking for a more hands on personal approach to the learning experience.
    We are conveniently located.
    We have low prices. In summer we can arrange for you to share apartments with Spanish people studying English which enhances the cultural experience.
  4. How many classrooms do you have?
    We have 7 classrooms, some equipped with TV, DVD and CD players.
  5. Do you have Internet access in your school? Do you have a library?
    We offer free wireless connection for your laptop.
    You can borrow easy reading books, Spanish music in CDs and Spanish films in DVD.
  6. What is the total capacity of the school?
    The total capacity of the school is about 100 students. Sometimes, during the summer, we have courses in the morning, afternoon and evening.
  7. What is the average age of your students?
    On average, our students are between 20 and 35 years old.
  8. Where are your students from?
    Our students come from Germany, Great Britain, Netherlands, France, Italy, Switzerland, Russia and other countries.
  9. When can I start?
    Beginners should start on certain dates, please ask for these dates (arrivals with booked accommodation are on Sundays).
    * Summer supplement of 40 € per course between 08.07. and 18.08.2007
  10. Can I start on a different start date?
    If you are not a beginner, then you can start any Monday. Arrival should be made to the accommodation on the Sunday before.
  11. What is the duration of one course?
    You can enroll for 2, 3, 4, 5 or more weeks for up to 3 months.
  12. Is there a minimum of weeks to apply to a course?
    Yes, there is a minimum of 2 weeks
  13. What is an Intensive course?
    4 hours daily from Monday to Friday (one hour is equal to 45 academic minutes)
  14. What is an Intensive-plus course?
    4 hours daily (Intensive course in group) plus 1 or 2 hours of individual tuition per day.
  15. Can we prepare for the DELE exam in your school?
    Yes, you can prepare for the DELE with private lessons.
  16. What are the different levels of the DELE?
    Inicial, Intermedio and Superior.
  17. Are the class materials provided by the school?
    Yes, we provide the class material.
  18. How are classes scheduled?
    Usually classes are in the morning (10am to 1:30pm) although sometimes in summer, classes can be in the afternoon (5:30pm to 9pm).
    You will have classes from Monday to Friday.
  19. How many students per class?
    From 3 to a maximum of 8 students per class (if the minimum number of participants is not reached, the class will take place, but the time of the class will be decreased).
  20. Which levels of Spanish do you offer?
    In Intensive courses up to six different levels are offered at the beginning of each course: A1 (beginners), A2, B1, B2, C1, C2 (highest level).
  21. Can we change levels during the course?
    Yes, it is possible to change levels during the course.
  22. What kind of certificate will I get from the school?
    A certificate which confirms the type of course, duration, intensity and level will be awarded to those regularly attending the language course.
  23. What kind of activities do you offer?
    We have varied activities such as: parties, meals, sports, film shows, chats about current affairs and historical issues, guided visits to the Castle and archaeological museum of Denia. We also offer excursions to Montgó Mountain, Alicante and Valencia.
  24. Are the activities fees included in the course fees?
    Entrance fees and trips are not included in the course fees.
  25. Do you have activities everyday?
    It depends on the time of year and the number of students.
  26. What are the different types of accommodation?
    There are a variety of different accommodation choices available. You have the choice between a Spanish host family and a flat shared with other students. You can also choose to book accommodation in a hotel, guesthouse or separate holiday apartment.
  27. How do you choose the host families?
    We know and work with the same host families for a very long time. These families are used to welcoming and receiving foreign students; they will do their best to make your stay enjoyable.
  28. What are the services provided?
    You will stay in a double room with half board. The family will do your laundry once a week.
  29. Can students change families if they do not like their host family?
    We will do our best to arrange accommodation with another family if there is any problem.
  30. Can I combine two different types of accommodation during my stay?
    Yes, it is possible. But it is better and easier if it is planned in advance.
  31. What are the facilities in a shared flat?
    All apartments have fully equipped communal kitchens, bathrooms with hot water, sitting rooms, washing machine and TV. Many will have a patio or balcony. Bedding is provided, but bath towels are not.
  32. How many people share a student flat?
    Usually from 4 to 6 people will share the flat.
  33. Do we have to share the bedroom with another student?
    You may choose either a double or single (with supplement) room.
  34. Who chooses the other students sharing the flat?
    The school chooses the students living in the same flat and they try to put people of different nationalities together.
  35. Can we share the bedroom with a friend coming at the same time?
    If you are coming with a friend we can arrange your accommodation in a double room for both of you.
  36. On average, what is the distance between the accommodation and the school?
    The flats are no more than 5 to 20 minutes (walking distance) far from the school.
  37. How do I register for the course?
    Just fill in the form online or send it by e-mail, fax or by post to our office.
  38. Is there a minimum and/or maximum age to enroll in the course?
    The minimum age is 16 we will need a parental signature if the applicant is under the age of 18.
  39. When do I have to pay the remaining course fees?
    The remaining fees have to be paid the first day of class.
  40. What happens in case of a change of dates or of duration?
    All changes made before the course starts can be adjusted according to availability. Please try to make changes in advance. Once the course has started, you may refer to our cancellation policy.
  41. What happens in case of cancellation?
    All cancellations must be made in writing. No cancellations can be made after the course has begun; no refunds will be given if you choose to leave before the end of the course. If you can replace yourself with an alternative person; it will not be necessary to pay a cancellation fee.
  42. What are the arrival times?
    Arrival times are between 10.00 h. and 23.00 h. If there is any problem, just let us know.
  43. Is there a pick up service from the airport?
    The pick up service from Valencia or Alicante airport is € 130.
  44. Who should I contact if I have any problem the day of my arrival?
    We will give you a contact phone number with your confirmation in case of late arrival or problem.
  45. Do I need a student visa?
    If you come from a country within the European Union you will not be required to have a Student Visa. For complete information about other countries, please contact the Spanish embassy in your own country.
  46. Is the school closed on national holidays?
    You won’t have class during national holidays and during local holidays we will organize extra activities.
  47. Do I need medical insurance?
    We recommend that you take out an insurance policy before your trip. Insurance is not included in the course price. European Union citizens are advised to take with them the European Health Insurance Card which provides free public health assistance.
  48. Do many places in Spain accept credit card payment?
    You can pay with a credit card in most big stores and restaurants.
  49. What accreditation do you have?
    We have accreditation from the Instituto Hispánico de la Rioja (IHLR). We also have recognitions from Germany (Bildungsurlaub) and Sweden (CSN).
