Spanish Courses Information

Guadalajara

We offer Spanish courses for students of all levels, from beginners to advance. To determine the level of Spanish, the student will be administered a placement evaluation before commencing classes on the first day.

The school offers Spanish programs in small groups no larger than 5 students, and under individual lessons. Depending on what your purpose is for learning Spanish is how we recommend the type of program for you.

Individual Lessons

The course is oriented to develop the four main skills of language: reading, writing, listening and speaking.

All participants will be able to take classes with a rather flexible schedule with as many hours as desired with a minimum of one week of duration.

Group lessons *Only available for students traveling together with the same level of spanish*

The student will be placed according to the results of the placement test. Spanish lessons are taught in small groups from Monday to Friday. This course consists of 20 sessions per week, 4 hours per day, starting every Monday all year round.

Students will follow an intensive Spanish program with the following scheme: half of the course is formal class instruction and the other half is practical activities and exercises, all of this oriented to develop the four main skills of language.

Each lesson hour has a duration of 60 minutes and they take place from Monday to Friday, except for official holidays which are recoverable. On official holidays, the lessons are normally rescheduled in the same week adding one additional hour to the normal schedule.

Classes are programmed between 8:00 am and 6:00 pm. The school has its own material in combination with international Spanish text books and other materials (e.g. newspapers, songs, literature, cassettes / cds, videos and grammar exercises) including the use of videos and other audio-visual materials

Certificates

Participants will be able to choose a program with a minimum duration of one week, after that every student can ask for a certificate of participation in the program specifying the level that the student has reached while they were having classes in their program. Students can also ask for an evaluation exam to receive a certificate of the level they have achieved.

Students can request an official certificate by Ecuador's Education and Culture Ministry upon successful completion (an evaluation is required) of an 8 week program or longer.
