The Spanish courses are developed to promote the learners' autonomy and reflection about the acquisition process of the Spanish language, which is vital. At the same time we work as a team and learn from the different cultures present in each classroom.
All of the teachers are University graduates with years of experience and specific training in teaching Spanish as a foreign language. In over a decade in which the school has been in service it has managed to combine a high-quality school with a warm, family-like atmosphere!
Each class integrates the four main skills (reading, writing, listening, and speaking) and students practice just like in real life. By doing this classes acquire an ideal context, and enable students to reach the communicative objectives proposed in each level. We understand how important it is to students being able to successfully communicate when in the street, and when taking part in daily activities in Seville.
The method used in all of the Spanish courses is the Communicative method, which will help you achieve fluency faster by focusing on practical real-life language use. Prior to initiate your classes you will be administered a written language test to determine your level and you will have a short interview with a teacher, so you can be placed in the right class.
If you have never studied Spanish before, you will not need to take a level test. Instead you will be placed directly in a beginners' group, to begin learning how to communicate in Spanish right away!
Courses start every Monday, except for absolute beginners.
Beginners should start on the following dates: Jan 8, February 4, March 4, April 1, April 29, May 27, June 24, July 8 and 22, August 5, September 2 and 30, October 28, November 26.
The Spanish courses available are:
Intensive Spanish Course - Intensive Spanish courses consist of four 50-minute classes per morning with a maximum of 10 students per group. Class schedule runs from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. with two 30-minute breaks, Monday through Friday.
Intensive Spanish Course - Intensive Plus Spanish consists of four 50-minute classes in the morning and two 50-minute classes in the afternoon per day with a maximum of 10 students per group.
Intensive + 5/10 Spanish Course - The Intensive + 5/10 Spanish course consists of 20 50-minute classes per week in the mornings with between 6 to 10 students per group. Then, every day in the afternoon, there are either 5 or 10 private lessons of an hour each, which help you maximize and consolidate everything you learnt in the morning.
Private Lessons - Private Spanish lessons provide an exclusive program that is tailored to your needs, with a flexible timetable, the possibility of adjusting the number of hours required per day to get the most out of your linguistic stay.
Spanish for Tourism - This Spanish course is recommended for students who need the Spanish language for professional purposes in the tourist industry (hotels, travel agencies, restaurants).
Medical Spanish – The Medical Spanish course focuses on improving oral skills in patient interviewing, reading medical literature, as well as working with the specific vocabulary related to the day-to-day practice of medicine in clinics or hospitals in Spanish-speaking countries around the world.
Business Spanish - This Spanish course is recommended for students who need the Spanish language for professional purposes in the business world.
DELE - This course is recommended if you plan to take the DELE examination at any level. DELE courses include general Spanish plus a specific module to prepare for the exam.
Spanish course levels follow the European framework. Following is a chart which represents the number of class hours required to advance to different levels.
