1. Where is the school located?
   We are located in the heart of Oaxaca’s Historical Center, two blocks from the beautiful Santo Domingo ex-convent and 4 blocks from Oaxaca’s “Zócalo” (Downtown Square). The state of Oaxaca is located in southern Mexico, about an hour’s flight southeast from Mexico City. Make arrangements to arrive in Oaxaca’s Xoxocotlán International Airport (landing in Mexico City first may be necessary), or take a bus from Mexico City to Oaxaca (6 hour ride).
2. How long are your programs and when can I start?
   The Spanish courses are designed to be flexible; we offer courses of study for only one week to as many weeks or months you may require. New courses begin every Monday.
3. What Spanish programs does the school offer?
   Spanish instruction is provided in a group setting, or one-on-one under private tutoring. Group classes are imparted under the Regular 15 for 3 hours per day, the Regular 20 for 4 hours per day, or the Regular 25 for 5 hours per day. Individual lessons may start from two hours per day and on, and can be combined with group courses to enhance your learning under the Semi-Private and Executive programs.
   If you are traveling with your family, we offer the Spanish for Children program during the months of July and December, for children from 7 to 15 years of age. For professionals, we offer the Professional Program 25, for specific terminology in various fields.
4. What is the average age range of students who usually attend the courses?
   Students of all ages are welcome to attend! The age range of students is 20 to 75 throughout the year, though younger students most commonly attend in the summer time (July) and in the month of December.
5. What are the class schedules?
   Morning group classes take place from 9 A.M. to 11:40 P.M. (3 academic hours + 2 breaks), from 9 A.M. to 1 P.M. (4 academic hours + 3 breaks) and from 9 A.M. to 2 P.M. (5 academic hours + 4 breaks). Individual lessons are likely to be scheduled in the afternoon, after 12:10 P.M. Each academic hour lasts 50 minutes.
6. How many levels of Spanish do you offer, and how large are your classes?
   Spanish classes are available for all learners, from absolute basic to proficient. A level assessment is administered prior to begin classes on the first day to make sure you are placed in a level suitable to your skills, and with other learners of your same ability (if taking group courses).
   Classes quickly advance due to the fact that they are entirely in Spanish, and each week a specific grammatical sequence is presented. Our instructors are skilled at blending conversation with grammar to meet every student’s individual needs. We try to make learning grammar fun!
   Groups are never larger than 6 students, as classes are intentionally kept small to enable us to give more attention to your needs and to create a better dynamic in the classroom.
   Individual lessons are one-on-one, but for students attending with a friend, relative or significant other and who share the same Spanish skills; we can also arrange private classes for two persons with the same tutor, upon request!
7. What are your options for accommodation and what does each option include?
   For accommodation you can choose from staying with a Mexican family as part of the Homestay program, or staying in the student residence. We can also find you a suitable hotel or private apartment if you do not wish to stay in any of the lodging options we offer.
   The homestay program includes your individual bedroom, cleaning service once per week, and either your daily breakfast only or your daily breakfast and lunch (Mexico’s main meal of the day, served between 2:30 and 3:30 P.M). The program includes transportation to your host home from the airport, which is a service provided by your hosts (does not apply if you will arrive by bus).
   Lodging at the student residence includes your individual room with breakfast, and the option of having a private or shared bathroom. Each room has a desk, and there is wireless internet available for students who bring along their computer. Common areas include a living room with a T.V., dining room, and a kitchen.
8. How long is accommodation arranged for?
   Accommodation is arranged for 8 days and 7 nights, starting one day before your program begins and concluding on the second day upon completion of your course (i.e. Sunday through Sunday). You can also request to have additional accommodation nights arranged, should you wish to arrive earlier or depart later.
9. Is Oaxaca a safe place?
   The city of Oaxaca is a beautiful place, and considered by many to be the most beautiful city in Mexico. Visited by many tourists every year, it is safe for locals and tourists, but as when visiting any other large city in the world, precautions are always recommended.
10. What do the programs include?
    Welcome orientation meeting on the first day of classes.
    Mexican cooking classes on Tuesdays.
    Language Exchange with native speakers (upon request).
    Salsa classes on Fridays.
    Movies in Spanish on Thursdays.
    Arranging of tours and excursions.
    Internet access (Wi-Fi and at the school computers).
    Certificate of completion.
