Classes may begin on any Monday of the month throughout the year!
All of our Galapagos programs begin on a Monday and end on a Friday. Arrival is recommended to be on the Sunday before starting the program, staying the first night in a hotel or homestay accommodation in the cultural city of Quito, departing to the islands by plane early on the following morning. Departure is on the Friday after your classes end, arriving back to Quito (by plane) on Friday evening. You can stay for additional nights at a hotel or host family in Quito, and we would be more than happy to arrange this!
Our school has the highest quality of instruction taught by native Ecuadorian professors holding at least a university degree in Spanish teaching, whose main goal is to make you proficient in Spanish no matter what your current level is! Prior to begin the program you will be interviewed by the academic coordinator and your teacher, who will work with you to adapt a class according to your current knowledge of the language. Your progress will be closely monitored to guarantee your language success!
The program includes 20 hours of Spanish instruction under group or individual instruction (depending on the number of participants). The main highlight of this program is the daily activities and tours around the islands that can be combined with your Spanish classes. Activities may include:
In addition to the activities offered, you can also combine additional boat tours to more remote islands, or a 5 day yacht tour, to enhance your experience discovering the Enchanted Galapagos! For information on the boat and yacht tours in Galapagos, please contact us.
All activities are guided, and you will be accompanied by your teacher at all times for full immersion. Please feel free to request a sample itinerary!
You are not required to take advantage of the activities and tours to take advantage of the program, as you can also sign-up for Spanish classes only.
Getting to Galapagos by plane can either be arranged on your own, or we can gladly make your arrangements in order for you to travel along with your teacher and other participants (if possible). A round trip ticket Quito-Baltra-Quito costs between $380 and $430 USD depending on the season, and we would pay the airline directly should you prefer us to make your arrangements.
