The school uses the total immersion method which means all classes are conducted in Spanish only. Our teaching method is interactive, communicative, intercultural and student centred. Six course levels are available: Beginners I and II (A1, A2), Intermediate Level I and II (B1, B2), Advanced Level I and II (C1, C2) in compliance with the European Common Framework.

Main Group Course

This is our most booked course; a general Spanish course with a full morning of lessons that leaves the afternoon for traveling or relaxing.

Group Lessons: 20 per week (50 min. each)

• Duration: 1 week up to 34 weeks
• Students: Up to 6
• Levels: 6 (Beginner to advanced)
• Contents: reading, speaking, pronunciation, listening comprehension, grammar, vocabulary expansion, Central American culture.
• Schedule: Monday to Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. with a 30-minute break.

Intensive Group Course

If you want to utilize your time in Costa Rica for learning Spanish very intensively, this course contains 10 more group lessons per week than the Main Group Course. This allows you to study at a faster pace and attain amazing results within a very short time.

The Intensive Group Course consists of a Main Group Course plus 2 extra group lessons each day. No new Spanish topics are covered, instead; these lessons are used to reinforce what you have learned.

• Group Lessons: 30 per week (50 min. each)
• Duration: 1 week up to 34 weeks
• Students: Up to 6
• Levels: 6 (Beginner to advanced)
• Contents: reading, speaking, pronunciation, listening comprehension, grammar, vocabulary expansion, Central American culture.
• Schedule: Monday to Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. with two 30-minute breaks.

Individual Tutoring

There are many reasons to prefer an individualized course. Personalized instruction is the best option for you if you feel disturbed by other students or if you need specialized vocabulary. Also, if you already know some Spanish but have trouble speaking, more focus on conversation will insure fast progress. You can also add individual classes to any group course; have a look at our Combination Courses.

A one-on-one setting is ideal for professionals that need to improve their language skills to work in a Spanish speaking country. Special courses can be given with terminology in many fields such as: medical, education, general business, environmental, scientific, law, etc.

Private Courses are offered with different amounts of lessons per week. You can choose 10, 20 or 30 lessons per week which means 2, 4 or 6 lessons per day. This will also allow you to have enough time to join our excursions too. Like in all other courses you will cover reading, speaking, pronunciation, listening comprehension and grammar as well as Costa Rican and Latin-American Culture. The main advantage of this course is it will follow your personal needs and learning speed. Lessons will be held between 8 am and 1:30 pm.

• Individual Lessons: 10-30 per week (50 min. each)
• Duration: 1 week up to 8 weeks
• Levels: 6 (Beginner to advanced)
• Contents: general spanish course and special technical needs
• Schedule: Monday to Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

 

Combination Course

Combine our courses if you enjoy learning in groups, but also have the feeling that some individual lessons would complete your personal learning purposes. Besides the Main Group Course or the Intensive Group Course, you will attend 5 additional lessons per week in order to review or cover any particular area of the Spanish language you prefer. Still, there will be enough free time for you to explore the country.

• Group Lessons: 20 per week (50 min. each)
• Individual Lessons: 5 per week (45 min. each)
• Duration: 1 week up to 34 weeks
• Levels: 6 (Beginner to advanced)
• Contents: reading, speaking, pronunciation, listening comprehension, grammar, vocabulary expansion, Central American culture.
• Schedule: Monday to Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. with two 30-minute breaks.

Intensive Combination Course

Do you want to achieve a high progress in Spanish but have little time? Are you ambitious and motivated? Then this is the right course for you! In addition to the Main Group Course or the Intensive Group Course you will receive 10 individual lessons per week. This allows you to deepen the exact subjects you require, or equip yourself with specialized terminology without renouncing the experience of a group course.

• Group Lessons: 20 per week (50 min. each)
• Individual Lessons: 10 per week (45 min. each)
• Duration: 1 week up to 34 weeks
• Levels: 6 (Beginner to advanced)
• Contents: reading, speaking, pronunciation, listening comprehension, grammar, vocabulary expansion, Central American culture.
• Schedule: Monday to Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. with two 30-minute breaks.
