Program Schedules and Fees

If you want to learn Spanish, there is no better option than IMAC Spanish Language Programs. Our Guadalajara school is the most accredited in Mexico. We also offer programs in Costa Rica, Chile, Argentina and Ecuador. We look forward to having you join one of our upcoming Spanish programs.

Of course, we understand that timing and cost are important considerations for every student. Find clear information on schedules and fees below to help you plan your Spanish-learning experience.

All fees are listed in U.S. dollars. There are no initial registration fees!

Group Programs

Our group Spanish programs last for five hours per day (4 hours of formal class time, fifth hour is our conversation class from 1 pm to 2 pm) on Monday through Friday. They also include several cultural exchange workshops and a multimedia lab.

• One Week: $230
• Two Weeks: $414
• Three Weeks:$562
• Four Weeks: $670
• Additional Weeks: $168 per week if paid in advance.

Our group Spanish immersion programs begin every Monday other than national holidays, Christmas and Easter. You can even choose the length of your learning experience. Our classes are designed to last one week each. After each course, you can advance to the next level. Take as many or as few as you feel are necessary. Our goal is to offer you the most flexible Spanish-learning experience possible.

Private Tutoring

We offer private tutoring for students who prefer a one-on-one experience. Due to the individual nature, this option is very flexible.

The fee is $22 per hour. You may begin tutoring on any weekday and schedule your classes for any number of hours per day and days per week provided that there is availability. This is a great way to learn Spanish with the personal attention of an instructor.

Enrollment Process

Our enrollment process is simple. Just complete a short form to apply to any of our Spanish programs. In four steps, you can sign up to learn a new language. We even accept payment through our secure website. It couldn’t be easier!

Daily Schedule

The daily schedule for our Spanish programs starts with classes in the morning followed by an immersive experience in the afternoon. We believe that the most effective education combines classed-based learning with practical opportunities to apply the language. This is our daily schedule:

• 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM: The first class period begins. Students learn from a native instructor and practice reading, writing, speaking and comprehension.
• 11:00 AM to 11:15 AM: The students take a short break. This is a perfect time to eat, refresh or just relax.
• 11:15 AM to 1:00 PM: The second class period begins. Students continue learning all areas of Spanish fluency.
• 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM: Students may participate in our cultural exchange experiences. This is a great opportunity to practice Spanish with native speakers in a more informal and conversational setting. This period is supervised by an instructor but is more relaxed than the classroom learning. These exchanges are included in our group Spanish programs.

Multimedia Lab

Students may also take advantage of our multimedia lab. This includes email, internet access and interactive Spanish-learning applications. The use of this lab is included with your program fees.

We encourage students to use the multimedia lab for at least an hour per day to help them further practice their Spanish. This is an effective way to further develop skills such as pronunciation, reading, writing and listening.

With one hour of multimedia lab time and five hours of instruction, the group programs last for a total of six hours per day. This makes the program 30 hours per week. Students may use the lab for longer if they choose.

National Holidays

Our Spanish programs are closed during national holidays, Easter and Christmas. These are the national holidays in Mexico. If you choose to take classes at one of our other locations, the holidays may be different.

Accreditation

IMAC Spanish Language Programs in Guadalajara is the most accredited language school in the country. Be wary of schools that lack accreditation with external monitoring. You cannot be confident in their programs’ efficacy.

We have undergone substantial inspection and monitoring to achieve our accreditations. These are some of the international bodies that have recognized us:

• The government of Mexico granted us CENNI National Language Certification; we are the only school that has received this distinction.
• Since 1977, we have been accredited by the Secretary of Education in Mexico.
• Since January 2009, we have been a DELE testing center.
• Since June 2009, we have been recognized by Instituto Cervantes and the Ministry of Education of Spain.
• We are also Bildungsurlaub accredited by eight German federal states.

Accommodation

We offer several accommodation options. Many of our students love our homestay program, living with a local, Spanish-speaking family during courses. Other students opt to stay in hostels, hotels or apartments. We can help with all types of living arrangements. The pricing for accommodations varies and is not included with the course fee.

Our courses are designed in one-week segments. Therefore, you can take however many weeks you like and keep advancing to new levels the longer you stay. It is a great way to have more control over your learning experience. We offer discounts for paying for multiple weeks in advance.

Tips for Saving

We know that many students want to keep their budgets as tight as possible. Fortunately, in addition to our affordable fees and discounts for longer programs, there are plenty of ways to save.

Consider renting your textbooks. We have a program that has a $5 charge plus a $30 deposit for the original materials used in our courses. If you return the book in good condition, you will receive the deposit back. If you want to keep the book, the deposit covers the cost.

Renting means that you get a great deal on the materials. You also can keep renting the books for different levels using the same deposit. It is the most cost-effective way to get your materials.
