Our Partner School’s VolunteerPrograms
The School Volunteer Programs offers our students the opportunity to combine a traditional study abroad language program with a part-time working experience by taking part in community service projects. Participants have the opportunity to acquire new skills by volunteering in many different capacities on international projects.
The Volunteer Programs are open to all ages from 18+ in different spheres of vocational activities including:
- Promoting healthcare
- Working with a women's cooperative
- Protecting habitat
- Working with the homeless
- Developing small business enterprises
- Supporting human rights efforts
- Working with children

The Following are Required to be an Intern with ourVolunteerPrograms:
- Be 18 or over.
- Completed high school.
- High, intermediate or advanced Spanish level.
- Ability and confidence to interact in a multicultural environment.
- Previous work experience related to your chosen Volunteer Program.
Spanish level required. Intermediate Level+, verified in an evaluation test at your arrival.
Some organizations and companies require an Advanced Spanish level.
Spanish Language course. Participants must complete a minimum of 40 hours of group Spanish classes before taking a position in the Volunteers Program. If a participant can’t reach the required language level, he or she will have to take more weeks of Spanish lessons at our school until a suitable language level is attained.
Duration. All positions require a minimum commitment of 8 weeks. No internship can exceed a 1-year period.
Once completed a Volunteer program is it possible to do another one? Absolutely. Each time you complete a volunteer program you can ask to apply to another one. You will not need to take more Spanish language lessons after your first Volunteers Program.
Do I receive a certificate for the Volunteer Program? Of course. Upon successful completion of our Volunteer Program you will receive a certificate given to you by the organization.
